What are Single Vision Lenses?

Single Vision Lenses are corrective lenses designed to provide clear vision at one specific distance, whether for reading, driving, or everyday use. With a consistent prescription throughout the lens, they eliminate the need to switch between different areas for various visual tasks. Single vision lenses can be customized with coatings such as *anti-reflective and scratch-resistant coatings. Ideal for those who need correction for a single vision problem, these lenses offer a straightforward and effective solution for achieving optimal clarity in daily activities.

*All our regular single vision lenses include an anti-scratch and anti-reflection coating for no additional cost.

What are Progressive / Multifocal Lenses?

Progressive (Multifocal) Lenses are specialized lenses designed to correct vision at multiple distances—near, intermediate, and far—without the visible lines found in traditional bifocal or trifocal lenses.

Progressive lenses offer a smooth transition between different focal points. Instead of distinct zones for each vision range, they provide a gradient of increasing lens power, allowing for natural vision at all distances.

They are ideal for individuals who need correction for presbyopia (age-related difficulty in focusing on close objects) and also require distance correction. Progressive lenses eliminate the need for separate reading glasses and distance glasses, allowing you to see clearly whether you’re reading, working on a computer, or looking at objects in the distance.

However, be aware of the adaption period. Some users may require an adjustment period to get used to the new lens design, as the eyes learn to transition smoothly between different focal points.

What are Myopia Control Lenses?

These lenses are intended for children and adolescents who are experiencing myopia (nearsightedness) progression. These lenses are designed to slow down the progression of myopia. Research shows that early intervention can help manage the condition and reduce the likelihood of severe myopia later in life.

Myopia control lenses often incorporate unique optical designs, such as peripheral defocus or dual-focus technology. These designs help reduce the eye’s tendency to elongate, which is a primary factor in worsening myopia.

If you notice that your child’s vision is changing at an accelerated rate, consider myopia control lenses.

What are Transition Lenses?

Transition lenses darken when exposed to sunlight and revert to clear lenses when indoors or in low-light environments. This light-adaptive feature provides convenience by eliminating the need for separate prescription sunglasses, making them ideal for individuals who frequently move between indoor and outdoor settings.

With the latest GenS transition lens technology, these ultra-dynamic lenses can transition amazingly fast into polarized lenses, provide 100% protection against UVA and UVB rays, filter blue-violet light both indoors and outdoors, darken while you’re in the car, and are available in a variety of colors.

What are Blue Light lenses?

Blue light lenses are clear lenses that have a blue light protection coating that help with eye strain from exposure to harmful blue light. There are best suited and recommended for people with long screen time, whether you’re in school, playing video games or in the office. We recommend blue light protection coating for your lenses.

What are Transition lenses?

Transition lenses are lenses that adapt to changing light conditions. Responding to the light around you, they intelligently change from clear to dark when you go outdoors and back to clear when you return inside.

Myopia Control Lenses

With myopia control lenses, you can enjoy the freedom of clear vision while actively managing and controlling the advancement of myopia. Our goal is to help you or your child maintain healthy vision and minimize the potential long-term complications associated with progressive near-sightedness.

Myopia, commonly known as nearsightedness, is a refractive error in the eyes where close objects can be seen clearly, but distant objects appear blurry. This condition occurs when the eyeball is too long or the cornea has too much curvature, causing light entering the eye to focus in front of the retina instead of directly on it.

The lenses make use of a natural homeostatic mechanism known as “emmetropization”, where the eyeball adapts to different patterns on the peripheral part of the lenses to receive focused images as it does for normal vision. Learn more

The wearer receives correction of their refractive error while their myopic progression is slowed down. This reduces risks of eye health problems across their lifetime. It also allows the wearer to move around with ease, as the lenses are impact-resistant.
